MANY REINSTATEMENTS. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met last [evening. The chairman '(Mr. ' G. W. Slade) presided. The members present were:—Messrs. W. S. Glenn, .M.P., G. Howe, E.'Little, S. S.: Dean, A. C. Kitto, A. J. Griffiths. The secretary of the Auckland R.F.U. wrote in regard'to the1 appeal case from /Taranaki dealing with the/disputed decision of the referee in a match-between Eltham and Inglewood: ■ "I find the referee in question, Mr. F. Fhelan, was not a member of the Auckland Referees' Association, but a member of the Rugby League, who refereed, in League games in Auckland —consequently the ruling given by him will be in accordance with the League rulings." It was decided to forward the letter to the Taranaki Union, asking for an explanation. ' The application of the South Canterbury R.F.U. for a loan of £2600 for the purchase of the Athletii Grounds at Timaru was referred to the Finance Committee. The following players' applications for reinstatement were granted :—J. M'Niven (Greymoutb), Henry Prmg (Napier), Thomas Jamieson (Nelson), Albert H. V. Hopgood (Greymouth), J. D. Duggari (Ngahere), Alexander Williams (Greymouth), P. J. M'Cormick (Christchurch), T. Straight, R. J.. Glenn- (Taylorville), W. Wilson (Wellington), W. Preston (Ross), Vincent Fvasev (Greymouth), James Nelson (Greymouth), Charles Lyle, W. R. Taylor, Thomar Wilkinson,' J. Smith, Ivan Gubb, George Matthews, Harold Fitton, Sam Hill. Pal O'Donuell, W. J. Mills (all of the King Country). An application for consideration to a. case of a, match where oho team played a League player whs referred) to the West Coast Union, under whoso jurisdiction the match was played.
