SHAKY TAUPO
A THREE-MINUTE SHOCK. (II TIMtSRAPII.—PF.ISS ASSOCIATION.) ROTOBUA, 4th July. After "a few days of comparative quiet, rumblings recommenced at Taupo this morning. They gradually increased with tremors till 4.43 p.m., when a shock lasting for three minutes came. The shock was as heavy as any yet felt, but it did no damage. It was felt .'also at Wharepaina, Wairakei. Mokai, and Oruanui, but no damage is j reported. Slighter shocks occurred at 6.55 and 7.10 p.m. ■The shocks were not felt at Eotorua.
