WATERSIDERS' BAND
The , Waterside Workers'. BaJid held it* annual smoke concert oh Saturday evening at Dustin's. Rooms. .Mt. .-!_. Glover, president, Wateraide Workers' Federation, occupied the chair. Several toast* wero celebrated with musical honours, including "The Wellington Union," "The Band," "The Helpers of tho Band," "The Ladies," "The Press,'-'- and: "The Artists." Musical items wero given by Messrs. Wrigley, Betts, G-oudie, Campbell, Meech, Kaye,' 'Brown, the Lyric Quartette, and.a duet by Bandsmen Willis and Croft (cornet aad- trombone).' Mr. E. Edwards also did some lightning sketches of (some .well-known W ellingtonians. Mr. F. Croft, the newly-elected secretary of the band, excelled himself in a. trombone solo.
