PALMERSTON N., This Day. A conference of delegates of A. and P. Associations in the North Island •was; held this morning, to consider :matiers of moment.
A remit from Canterbury suggested a change -in the and constitution of .the Board of Agriculture. •' Mr. Penny, a member of the board, moved an amendment that the board remain as constituted at present, but that it be given power to control agricultural education, and that its chairman be elected by the members of the board.
The amendment was carried.
