PAY OF TEACHERS
A proposition that salaries should bo equal for male and female teachers was submitted by Mr. E. C. Bunks (Auckland) t« the Council of Education to-du.y. Jlr. Miss N. E. Coad. M.A., said that in the secondary schools there were more ' male" than fcmp.le teachers. It the motion would ensure (hat the salaries of female touchers would be incrensnd. and thus encourage more women lo take up tho profession, then she would sunvmrl the motion.
