For the second day of the Hawkcs Bay Jockey Club's Meeting tho weather is fine • and the attendance good. The course is in good order. Results:—
Kidnapper Hnrdles, of 150 soys; one mile and a-balf.—Royal Gift, 11.2, 1; Ruatara, 10.11, 2; Whizz Bang, 10.7, 3. All started. Won by a length. Time, 2min 50sec.
Havelock Hack Steeplechase, of 150 soys ; two miles.—Silver Stride, 9.0, 1; Chillies, 10.6, 2; Bill, 10.2, 3. Scratched : Gold Scene, Oak Rose, and Reparoa. Won by three-quarters of a length. Time, 4min 15sec. Turamoe HurJles, of 200 soys.; If miles.—Spook, 10.3, 1; Whanoko, 10.4, 2; Matatua, 9.13, 3. Scratched: Ruatara, Passin' Through, Whizz Bang. Won by four lengths. Time, 3min 20sec.
June Steeplechase, of 300 soys; about two miles arid a-half.—Mattock, 9.10, 1; Polthogue, 9.0, 2; Oak Rose, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Bed Cent. Won ■by five lengths. Time, smin 12sec.
Baukawa Hack Handicap, of 100 soys.; one. mile.—Tireless, 9.2, l.j Blissfulness, 9.13, 2; Taipaira, 10.6, 3. All started. Time, lmin 47sec.
