WATSON BROTHERS, LIMITED. The Big Cash Store, Palmerston North.

The business formerly operated as the United Farmers' Co-operative Association was run for over 40 years as a farmr ers' general store, selling goods on credit. Many of the old characteristics associated with a store of this kind still remain, such as carrying\ stocks for every need of the average farmer. Last year the pplicy of the business was altered, and it was decided to sell goods on the cash-and-carry' system, the latest method of trading, thus eliminating all office staff, travellers, delivery, discounts, bad debts, etc., thus cutting down the cost of operating the business by 50 per cent. Such a drastic cut in the expenses permits goods to be spld infinitely less in price, and that is the reason why our prices to-day remain unbeatable, why our. premises throng with customers, and why our business has extended down to Waikanae and up to Ohakune, and over the ranges into the Wairarapa. In the short space available it is quits impossible to enumerate more than a few prices, but we shall be pleased to give anyone our best cash price free on rail Wellington or Palmerston North for any of their requirements.
