Every generation of the Robert family, for four hundred (400) years, has been associated with the manufacture of military clothing and regalia. The foundation of the business was first laid in France, and subsequently extended to England, and later to this Dominion at Palmerston North. Robert and Co. are the sole makers of Masonic and friendly society regalia in New Zealand. Their business, as most people know, extends far beyond these shores, to Australia and elsewhere. , Gold and silver embroidery and all work pertaining to this class of trade can.be undertaken by the firm. They supply complete outfits for Masonic lodge-rooms, and are always pleased to advise on matters associated with the craft. Mr. J. P. Shand, of Cuba-street, Wellington, is Wellington agent for Robert and Co., and samples of the firm's work can be seep at his establishment.
