The above firm, whose place of busii ness is almost alongside the Showgrounds .at "Palmerston North, are still well in" the lead as the leading monuinentalists of -the district. The firm's .stock at present is a very^heavy one, and comprises the very finest that can be procured, both in granite and marble. In the granite stock, which is' all imported from i Scotland, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, the firm prides itself on having the .finest granite stock to be seen in , New Zealand. §how people are invited to inspect the great variety of colours, and we are sure that those who accept) this invitation will stand in amazement, /and wonder how Nature has provided such Beautiful granite, in all the lovely shades of colour. In marble, again, no better is to be seen. The fine white marble,- all imported from the wellknown Carrara quarries in Italy, stands out on its own as the best marble yet procured. For granite,' Mr. W. E. Jones is the New Zealand agent for Messrs. Townsend and Co;, 'of Aberdeen, and Jor Carrara marble, he ( also represents "the old-established firm of Messrs. Walton, Gooddy, and ; Cripps, of Carrara, Italy. Is it any wonder, then, that such valuable stock is placed before the residents of Manawatu and the outlying districts. To those who require memorials, we advise getting in touch with W. E. Jones and Co.; the name is well known for quality of workmanship and good treatment. The firm has recently erected the Pahiatua : memorial to fallen jgpldiers, to the great satisfaction of the Memorial Committee. The memorial is Balmoral red granite, imported from Scotland, and is a beaur tiful piece of granite. .Memorial com-r mittees, who propose erecting similar monuments in other parts, are strongly; advised to discuss the question with W.
