Lowe beat Count Balbi., 6-1, 6-3, 6-1; Kingscote beat Colombo, 7-5, 6-4, 6-1. It-was announced that Lycett was unable to play owing to injuries. (Received June 21, 9 a.m.) ■ LONDON, 20th June. In the doubles, Britain v. Italy, Kingscote and Riseley beat Balbi and Colombo, 6-1, 6-4, 6-0. LONDON, 19th June. The match India v. . Rumania was played at Beckenham. A. A. Fyzee (India) beat Mishu (Rumania), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-0; A. H. Fyzee beat Stern (Rumania), 6-0, 6-1, 6-1. COPENHAGEN, 19th June. Borotra (France) beat Ingerslav (Denmark), 6-3, 8-6, 6-4; Cochet (France) beat Tegner (Denmark), 7-5, 6-2, 9-7. NEW COURTS AT WIMBLEDON, LONDON, 19th June.' The new tennis courts at Wimbledon ■were formally opened I to-day. The stand ■ accommodation covers an acre, affording seating for 10,000 persons, with standing room for an additional 4000. British Isles, by winning two singles and the doubles, wins the contest against Italy, although there are two more singles to play. India has two wins in against Rumania, and should win the doublss.
