, NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. In a fifteen-round contest on Saturday night, Cyril Whittaker ( Wellington) beat Jack Heeney (Gisborne) on points.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COVTMOBT.) SYDNEY, 18th June. At the Stadium last night Uren (lOst. 131b) beat Jack Cole (list"4lb) on points. The contest was marked by much wild fighting and. battling at close quarters, j Cole constantly forcing his opponent. | Cole showed improved form. Uren was handicapped somewhat by injuring a thumb in the fourth round. The veraiot caused considerable dissatisfaction. MELBOURNE, 18th June.Spargo defeated Jerry Sullivan on points.
