RAIDERS "RUN AMOK.' 1-
LONDON,-17th June.
Armed Sinn Feiners ran amok at Bessbrook, in the South of Armagh, during last night, and shot and killed four men and one -woman. They also wounded two men. All were Protestants.
The raiders roved the countryside, dragged the victims from their beds, .shot them as they stood in their nightclothing, and then bombed and set fire to their houses. . Other families fled panic-stricken through the fields, raid-, ers pursuing and shooting them. The most wicked attack was against a cottage occupied by an elderly man and his wife, ■who were shot side by side. Several children were injured through the fires.
The countryside is horrified, and wholesale reprisals are feared.
