It is believed that the voting favours the panel candidates. A noteworthy feature is the large number of women voters. At Sligo, East Mayo, Several agents of Independent candidates have been kidnapped, tuid their whereabouts an unknown. The polling for four seats for the Irish National University, for which two Independent candidates, besides the panel of two Treaty supporters and two Republicans, were standing, resulted in the election of the two Treaty supporters, one Republican, and one Independent Treaty supporter. After the votes had been counted, Rory O'Connor and twelve others raided tho premises and carried off the ballot-boxes.

The Daily Telegraph's Dublin correspondent states that it is estimated that 60 per cent, of the electors are voting, plus 10 to 20 per cent, of personations.
