LABOUR VIEWS ON INDIA
SYDNEY, 17th June.
The Labour Council issued a manifesto extending greetings to the workers of India and stating that New South Wales workers would support the Indians in their demand for homes rule, adding that the chains of India's economic and political subjection cpuld be broken only by the combined, might of organised workers.
A delegate-to the Labour conference gave notice of motion : "That the proposed action of the Commonwealth to invite the Eight Hon. Mr. Sastri to address the Federal Parliament is unconstitutional and meets with the entire disapproval of the conference."
