Music-lovers were provided with a treat' in the programme presented last evening at His Majesty's Theatre. There was a large attendance, and the warmth of the appreciatior of the audience was shown by the hearty applause which greeted the various selections rendered. To show the highclass nature of the concert it is only necessary to mention that the following compositions were tastefully executed : Suite of dances from "Nell Gwynne" (Edward German); the first movement of "The Unfinished Symphony" (Schubert) ; selections from "Madame Butterfly" (Puccini); "Spring Song"'(Mendelssohn) ; and the overture to "Rienzi" (Wagner). Mis Etta Field sang'with deep feeling Mascheroni's "Aye Maria" and Carew's "Love's a Merchant."
