COMMUNITY SINGING
Many hundreds of people look forward to the happiness hour each week when the community singing is held in the Town Hall. This week the.song leader, Mrs. Albert Russell, has prepared aspecial programme to suit everybody. Some of the old favourites will be siyig and several fresh items, including "I've Lost My Heart in Maoriland," "Love's Old Sweet Song," "Coal Black Mammy," and an entirely original "Round" is being tried for the first time, so a most enjoyable hour is looked forward to. Now that the- "sings" have really come to stay during the winter months, room can be found for all who wish to attend, and a special invitation is extended to mon this week. The' popularity of the "community sing" has been so great recently thai, tire Town Hall has been too email for the people desiring to take part. People who have been disappointed -will .be gratified that provision has been made for a "sing" to be held in the Dominion Farmers' Institute, which is a convenient centre for ;i large part of the city. The first "sinjr" will be held at- 1 p.i'n. to-morrow, mid it is intended to make the gathering' a weekly one during the ■ wintei\
