PURSUANT to the provisions of "The Counties Act, 1920," and "The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908," and amendments thereof, I hereby give notice that an election to fill the office of Councillor for the Horokiwi Riding of the County of Hutt, caused by the resignation of Couneillar Barclay, will take place on the 3rd day of July, 1922, and I hereby appoint the Hutt County Offices, 63, Lambton-quay, Wellington, as tho place, and before noon on the 27th day of June, 1922, as the time, for receiving nominations of candidates for the following office, that is to say, for the Horokiwi Riding. Nomination papers in the form numbered (2) in the second schedule of "The Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908," signed by two Electors of the district and the candidate, shall be delivered at the above-named office before noon of the 23rd day of June, 1922. If the number of candidates exceeds the number of offices then to be filled, public notice will be given of the day on which the Poll is to be taken, of the names of the several candidates, and of the situation of_ the Polling Booths.
