"CREATION."
' Those gentlemen who possess voices are given an opportunity of joining the chorus of the Royal Wellington Choral Union. The desire is to add a number of voices to the male section so as to obtain a more perfect balance of the whole chorus. The society, now in its seventeenth year, has shown by the excellence of its per. formances that it has been particularly fortunate in attracting many, good voices to the ranks of its performing members. Though the musical tests applied to new entrants are strictly adhered to, it is thought that in a large population such as that of this city thero are probably good tenors and basses who would gladly join in the society's work. Practices are held every Tuesday evening in St. John's Schoolroom, Dixen-street, at 8. Mr. Templo White, the conductor, will be in attendance at 7.30 the same evening for the purpose of testing voi""s. "The Creation" is to be performed on Saturday, 19th August, and on this occasion the society will be assisted by the, Hastings Choral Society, which body will arrive in Wellington the previous evening.
