Imports during May showed an increase of £2,539,220; and exports, £14,956,935; re-exports, £1,733,063. The principal increases were :—lmports : Raw cotton, £2,601,516; raw wool, £5,757,427; cotton, yarns and manufacturers', £5,871,000.
The principal decreases were : Imports : Grain and flour, £2,996,727; meat, £1,833,796; coal, £1,533,469. Exports ; Machinery, £3,240,019.
