ARRESTED FOR FRAUD

Detectives, after a struggle in a- hotel bedroom, arrested a man who was suspected of being Gerard Bevan. The prisoner attempted suicide in prison.
[When the Equitable Insurance fraud was discovered and the crash took place, Gerard Bevan, chairman of the company, escaped to the Continent. Since his departure he was declared bankrupt, enormous olaims being made against his estate, and a warrant was issued; for his arrest on a charge of .fraud.]
