QUEEN'S THEATRE.
The British Government's wonderful picturisation of Indiai ■ commenced a week's session at the. Queen's Theatre, Cuba-street, yesterday. There is no doubt that "Royal India" is by far the finest travel picture ever shown in this city. It shows intimate scenes, of India's beautiful cities, its magnificent bejewelled temples, pictures taken in the heart of t/he jungles, of tiger hunts, elephant fighting, and extraordinary photographs of the huge Tata steel works. Next, the pictuTe is in the heart of the jungle, sharing a tiger hunt, then in a native market place amidst a bevy of fakirs, conjurers, snake charmers,. and wrestlers. The picture then carries you via the spiral railway to the cotton mills, the tanning works, the Deserted City, and to temples radiant in gold and jewely. The beautiful Taj MahaJ is then shown, and never has it been so beautifully photographed. There is really so much of interest to be seen in "Pi.oyal India" that one could see it over several times, and still find thorough enjoyment in it. The Queen's management has arranged a splendid supporting programme, comprising a delightful Iri^h. comedv-dirama, entitled "The Scrapper," featuring Universal's famous star. Herbert Rawlrnson. Also there will be shown another thrilling episode of the historical serial, "Winners of the West," and an International News reel, as well as a, Century Comedy. Tho Queen's Orchestra has arranged', spscia.l nvusic. Altogether this week's programme is one of the finest ever shown at this popular theatre.
