A TERRIBLE DANGER
GAS-SHELL DUMP IN ERUPTION

(ADSTBALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIAIJON.) PARIS, 28th May. A fire occurred at a munitions dump at Hauterive, consisting of 300,000 gas shells. There were many explosions. Neighbouring villagers are evacuating ■their homes, and taking away their live stock, owing to the clouds of poisonous gas. Troops wearing respirators are endeavouring to prevent the fire spreading ■to neighbouring dumps.' '
