CONFERENCE IN LONDON

LONDON, 27th May.
The conference of British and Irish signatories to the Irish Free StateTreaty met at Downing Street, Mr. Lloyd George presiding; to discuss the effect on the Treaty of Collms-de Valera agreement, and adjourned until Monday. It is understood that the British Ministers are. satisfied that there is a sincere desire'on the part of. Messrs. Griffith and Collins to adhere .to the Treaty, but a divergence' of opinion exists as to the legal interpretation of the terms of the Collins-de Valera agreement regarding the elections, as affecting the Treaty.
