TAITA LAND DISPUTE
JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANT.
After a protracted hearing, extending over Wo days, the Tdita laiid dispute case, Hunt v. Decision, concluded at the Supreme Court Oil Saturday afternoon. George Henry1 ' Hunt, farmer, Taita, claimed from Annie Deckston, also of Taita, £115. damages to crops and fences' Slid £200 general damages for trespass. ' ;
f The jiiry returned a ; verdict that there had been no legal trespass; and added' the following, rider:—"Having seen the fence ■ replacing the one removed, we consider the plaintiff Bhould be compensated to. the extent of £15 to enable him to erect a good fence on the legal boundary." -His iHohour* entered judgment for thedef^enctant accordingly, with costs as per scale on the claim, witnesses' ■ expenses 'and . disbursements to be fixed by the 'fi-egistrar. .
