WADESTOWN AND WELGASCO
■ The Gas Company team opened play with a solid attack on Wadostown, and went right through the defence to the full-back line. Harris, however, stopped the lush and sent up-field, where Prince took charge and later passed to Stocks, whose shot was "turned by the goalkeeper. Tho remainder of the spell was fast and open, but tho advantage lay with, neither side. On one occasion the Welgasoo right* winger . got away well and took the ball almost to goal, but fcTie opening was spoiled by off-side. Wadestown attacked strongly alter the spell, but could not get through—for one thing the team was two men short—and Wolgasco pressed down again. The Wadestown backs stood up to the series of attacks well, and then their forwards got away,'and an opening was given Stocks, who pbt in a fast shot and opened the scoring. From the .kick-off Gas Company put more dash into the play, and evened mattere, Baxter goaling from a Ion? shot. Give-and-take play followed, and Baxter added a second.
