A FROSTY NIGHT
The cyclone which. centred in the north on Saturday morning took its departure on Saturday evening, a nd since then the barometer has risen over an inoh in the north, with high, southerly winds and cold and stormy weather. Conditions now, however, are more settled, and fair weather prevails, with low temperatures ovor tho Dominion. Harcl frosts were reported in tho south, and several places at 9 o'clock this morning had still the barometer at 32, or below tho freezing point'. Only 2 degrees of frost were recorded at Wellington.
The forecast is for moderate and variable winds; southerly breezes ruling, here, with fair but cloudy weather, and a cold and frosty night. The anti-cyclone, if it holds tho usual course, should keep tho weather good for a day or two. Another ohnnge is dus towards the cud' of tho weelt x '
