ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM.
The secretary of the N.Z.F.A.: (Mr.. B. L. Salmon) has received by the Australian mail some further particulars as to the team to visit New Zealand. The Australian players, who are coming across, are as follow:—Goalkeepers, G. Cartwright (N.S W.) and J. Hamilton (Q.); right backs, A. Fisher (N.S.W.) and D. Cumberlord (Q); left balck, G. Harris (Q.); right half, R. Henderson (N.S.W:); centre, J. Peebles (Q.)1;' left halves, P. Doyle,(N.S.W.), and A.Gibb (Q.); outside right, W. Dane (N.S.W.); inside right; W. Bratten (Q.) and D. Ward (N.S.W.); centres, W. Maunder (N.S.W.) and G. W. Brown (Q.); inside left, J. Cumberford (Q.)j outside, J. Thompson (NiS.W.)' . The' colours of the team will be light blue, with a maroon "A" on the breast. Mir. A. Morgan will act as manager, •with Mr. P.' Doyle as assistant manager. Mr. . Allan-Fisher will captain the team, and Mr. Alec Gibb will be vicecaptain. . A certain number of approved supporters will accompany the team. The Australian authorities have asked that all incidental expenses, doctors' and chemists' fees, minor travelling expenses, and' the like, shall be borne by the N.Z.FiA., but the point has yet to' be discussed.
