Evidently, investors are fully aware of this point, as during the past few days there has been an increasing demand for these bonds. Applications have been received from all parts of New Zealand. On Tuesday, a cable came from Melbourne asking the company to reserve £2000 worth of bonds for an investor in that city. At the present rat© of subscription the remaining £14.000 will be taken up within the next few days. Intending investors should therefore lose no time in applying for their requirements. These bonds are for £25, £50, and £100, so that they meet the requirements of [arse or small investors. They are repayable in three or seven years, at the purchaser's option. The advantage of this ,type of holding is that the bonds are always negotiable, the holder is secured before either preference or ordinary shareholders, and the interest payable is the very substantial return of ii per cent, free of income tax, which is equivalent to 8-J per cent, subject to income tax. Interest is payable halfyearly, without deduction for exchange, on due dates, at .any branch in the Dominion of the Bank of New Zealand, or at the Company's Head Office, Hobsonstreet, Auckland.
