ADVANCES TO RETURNED SOLDIERS
The Minister of Lands (Hon. D. PI. Guthria) informed an R.S.A. deputation in Whangaroi this week that the Government had no present indention of cutting off advances altogether, despito the financial stringency. Attention would bo given to T.B. cases, limbless men, and others seriously disabled. Ho could not specify a date when the advances for building would reopen, but in tho meantime all possible was being dono to meet special cases.
