ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL.

A meeting of the council of the New Zealand Football Association was held. in the V.M.C.A. rooms last evening, Mr. C. E. Fordham presiding. A letter was received from the Canterbury Football Association complaining of the lack of publicity to reports of matches in the Old Country. It was alleged that Itagby fixtures were reported in full, whilst Association received the "cold shoulder." The committee felt that if these "Home" matches were reported, it would be in the best interests of the game.— Ths letter -was received, the secretary stating that reports of Soccer matches were now being sent'out. The Otago Football Association Schools Committee wrote asking if it would' bo possible to obtain a trophy for competition among the primary schools of the Dominion. Representative matches had been played between Otago, Canterbury, and Wellington, but Otago, which had an unbeaten record; had nothing to show for its efforts.—The letter was referred to the Otago Football Association for consideration.
