UNEMPLOYMENT
PREPARING FOR WINTER
MINISTERS CONFER.
A conference was hold yesterday between the Minister of Labour, the* Minister of Public Works, and the Commissioner of Forests concerning the,preparations to be lmide for meeting passible unemployment. Officers of the respective departments and of the Repatriation Department were present. Proposals were considered, and will be submitted to Cabinet. Referring to the matter this morning, when ' replying to an R.S.A. 'deputation, the Minister of Labour (the Hon. G. J. Anderson) said that yesterday works were set up in which the returned soldiers would get a fair number of opportunities.
