' Mr. F. 'K. Hunt, S.M., presided at to-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court.

. Florence Grace Ward, on charges of drunkenness and breaking the terms of her prohibition order, was sent to Pakatoa for a period of twelve months.

John Walter Hamilton, on each of two charges-of theft of a box of candles and a horse's bridle, was. sent, to gaol for three months, the terms to be concurrent.

Ballinger Bros, were ordered to pay costs on a charge of attaching, a water pipe to a main without the consent of the City Council.
