CAPETOWN, 27th March.
Nationalists and Labourites in the House of Assembly are strenuously resisting the passage of the Indemnity Bill, in view of the Government's refusal of an early inquiry into the Rand outbreak. They have also brought forward additional allegations of malpractices on the part of the Government forces. The debate was closured by 24 votes to 3, -after nearly two full days had been spent on the debate. General. Bertzog's amendment was negatived, and the first reading was adopted by 60 votes to 45, after four divisions.
