LADY BATHER'S EXPERIENCE
It is reported tliab a young lady recently had an unenviable experience while .bathing. at Karaka Bay in the vicinity of the wharf. While in very shallow water she. had one of her legs grasped by an octopus, but fortunately managed to draw the creature aahore, and received the assistance of a youth, who cut away the feelers from the young lady's leg. The octopus was found to measure six feet from tip to tip, and had apparently been lying in a petrol tin which wa3 subsequently found in tho water. Apart from shock, th© bather suffered no injury
