CHARGES FOR CITY RESERVES
Some discussion has taken place with respect to the proposal of the City Council to increase the charges for the playing areas used on the city reserves. It is understood that a charge 6i 15e is to be made for the first game on a Saturday afternoon and an extra charge of 10s for the same area on the same afternoon. The opinion has been expressed by at least one association governing an important winter game that this charge is exorbitant and the New Zealand Sports Protection League has been asked to call a meeting of representatives from all interested bodies to consider the council's proposals. This is being held to-night, and it is likely that other matters which concern the relationship between the City Corporation and sports bodies may be discussed.
