Tho Prime Minister left Wellington to-day for Auckland. He will be present at the big Maori gathering for the opening of the Waitangi Commemoration Hall at Russell, and will afterwards go to Hikarangi to be present at the official commencement of the Hukurangi Swamp drainage operations.
In continuation of tho sories of concert lectures given last year, Mr. Kobert Parker will iuaugurate a new series on Thursday week, the subject being Griojr. Some of the less familiar works of tho composer •will be drawn upon as illustrations, and, among others, Miss Ava Symona and Miss Williamson will play the fine sonata in 0 Minor in its entirety,
