LONDON, 23rd March,
During evidence in connection with the purchase of the German "■merchantsubmarine" Deutschland, Horatio Bottomley declared that when the vessel crossed the Atlantic she was laden with torpedoes. Bottomley alleged- 4 that .he incurred loss in exhibiting the vessel to the public; also by being sued for compensation by dependents of victims killed on board the vessel when she was being broken up.
