The decision made by the New Zealand A.A. A. Council this week in favour of retaining the 3>ne mile and three mile walking events on the Australasian championship progranime was in the nature of a mail vote which ie being taken by the principal body at the request of the.Victorian Association. The walking events were not favoured by the Victorian Association, and it was decided to seek an expression of opinion from the other leading associations in Australasia. The desire'of tho N.Z.A.A.A. is to encourage walking.
