; Mr. Austen Chamberlain, in replying to a question, said that the cost of the : Bntish' delegation to Washington was not expected to exceed £50,000. ; The result of the Conference was a saving in Hhe Estimates! for 1922-23 which would .probably exceed \ £10,000,000. The abandonment of the construction of four capital ships meant a caving this year of £3;000,000, and ultimately! at least £30,000,000. , ■•
