LONDON, 6th March. The Evening Standard' understand* that Mr. Lloyd George,, Mr. Chamberlain, Sir ATthur Balfour, Lord Birkenhead, Lord Cuizon, Sir Robert Home, and Sir Wofthington Evans, at .a private meeting unanimously agreed that, instead, of the Coalition breaking up, steps be taken to form it into a Centre National Party with a policy s which Sir Arthur Balfour outlines to-morrow.,
It is understood that Mr. Lloyd George, on assurances that- his leadership will be guarded, agreed to postpone his resignation, 'being specially influenced, in that course "by Sir Arthur Balfour/'s pleadings not to resign prior to the Genoa Conference, in view of the serious international 1 situation ■; and ' the delays which the Erench arid Italian crises have already produced. / .. Despite the House of Commons diehards' unconciliatory attitude, it is believed that the majority of the Unionist members of the Commons are willing to support .the Ministry. ,'
