METHODIST CONFERENCE
CHAIRMEN OF DISTkICTS.
(»T 'TILKaRATH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Tins Day. At the Methodist Conference, the -■following chairmen of districts .were appointed :—
Auckland, Eev. C. H. Laws; "South Auckland, Rev. A. Mitchell; TaranalriWanganui, Rev. Mr. Grigg; Hawkes Bay-Manawatu,, Rev. T. R. Richards ; Wellington, Rev. E. Drake; Nelson, Rev. W. Greenslade; South Canterbury, Rev. W. A. Hay; North Canterbury, Rev. T. A. Joughlin; Otago-Southland, Rev. M. A. Rugby Pratt; Solonion Islands, Rev. J. F. Goldie.
The overseas delegates were accorded a, farewell by the conference in the afternoon, and were the guests of the Mayor and : Mayoress at a conversazione in the Town Hall. . , '■ '. The members of the conference will now go to Whangaroa, where^the centenary celebrations will be continued. On Wednesday a memorial cairn will be unveiled by the Rev. Uraingei- Hargrcaves, of England, and the foundation stone of a memorial chapel, to the Rev. Samuel Leigh' 'will be laid by the president of the conference, the Rev. C. H._Laws. The Maoris of the district will entertain visitors at a luncheon in Native style at a Maori icamp. '.
