Station, .for duty as Senior Officer of tho West River. . In his place, | Commander J A. A. Morris joins ih& Naval Staff at the Admiralty. Commander"" Morris has just completed {he technical course' at Portsmouth, and was formerly executive officer of the light oruisor Southampton, late flagship to Souths America, and the East Indies flagship. Zoalarfdors; Commander Crocker married one of tho daughters of Sir Westby and Lady Perce-'. val, while Commander .Morris married a. daughter of Mr. John Anderson (Christchurch). . • ■ \ H.M.S. Veronica is shortly recommissioning, and the Admiralty has appointed the following Naval officers: Commander Bernard Buxton, D.5.0., who is to succeed Commander F. H. L. Lewin; Lieut. "Eric G. Thomns and Sub.-L^eut. Bernard' H. Wilkinson. Lieut. Robert K. Dixon and Gunner W. Marks have been roappointed to the ship. The officers are going out next week by the Corinthie, and on tho same - vessel eight., potty officers arid 73 naval ratings will proceed to relieve the present crew o£ the Veronica.
