ELLA SHIELDS.
Mr. Harry G. Musgrove has made arrangements for a tour of New, Zealand of Miss Ella Shields, the male impersonator, commencing, at the Grand Opera House next Monday, for a five-nights season only. Miss Shields portrays three types of man—a young swaggering naval officer, a dude, and a millionaire "hobo." She has appropriate songs for each characterisation. Sfie is saßl to be young and pretty, with a lad-like figure, modestly controlled, yet boyishly virile. Further, she dances with grace a-fid lightness. Miss Shields is a comedienne whose chief London successes have been won in male impersonations. Her season'in Melbourne recently extamded over six weeks, and her singing of "Burlington Bei'lie of Bow" established her a firm favourite. It is stated that Miss Shields will be supported by the company of vaudeville artists associated with her in Australia. The box plan will open at the Bristol Piano Company next Thursday morning.
