"WAY DOWN EAST."
D. W. Griffith's production, "Way Down East," is still being shown to large houses at the Grand Opera, House. Tlie story centres round the mock marria.ge of one Anna Moore, and the misery that ensues. The picture is full of excellent settings, one of the most impressive being the ice-bound river. Lillian Gish, as the simple country girl, later as the husbandless mother, and finally as a happy bride, takes the main part.
