MOTOR-CYCLE EVENTS AT AUCKLAND.
(It miKAFI.-rUII AIItCIATMMJ - 1 AUCKLAND, sth March. At tile motor-cycle races held on the j Takapuna racecourse to-day, the New Zealand heavy-weight championship, over fifteen miles, was won by P. Coleman (7-9 Indian). L. Mangham (7-9 Harley Davidson) was second, and S. Whitehead (7-9 Excelsior),, third. Coleman won by 50 yards in 13min 11 2-ssec. In the special test, Whitehead and Manghant lowered Coleman's world record of 49 3-ssec by 2-ssac on the mile grass track, with a* flying start. The course was heavy.
