GISBORNE, sth March. * The Primo Minister arrived early on Saturday i evening by the overland route from Wairoa, after a strenuous trip by motor and buggy. Replying to a welcome, Mr. Massey said ho believed'that the worst of tho slump was over, but that it would continue to bo felt till tho end of the year. Tho Government Was aiming afc reduction of the cost of living, the cost of production, and tho cost of government. Mr. Massey has left for the coastal districts. ■
