STRAND THEATRE.
Heading the new programme at the Strand Theatre is a First National attraction, "Serenade," directed by George:Walsh. "Serenade" is a Spanish drama, filled with exciting episodes and tender love scenes. Miriam (Jooper.and George Walsh play the leads. . The next picture, "The Branded Woman," is one of Norma Talmadge's greatest successes. She appears as the young girl fresh from refined college training and clean environment who is thrust into the atmosphere of the so-called smart-set. An excellent, supporting programme includes the third episode of > the serial, ' "The Lure of the Circus."
