The annual harvest thanksgiving takes place in Salvation Army circles during the month of March, and in this connection the Divisional Commander, Major Burton, is announced to oonduot the festival at the Vivian-street citadel. Special mußic will be discoursed by the. Silver Band and the Songster Brigade, whilst the citadel is to be decorated in harmony with the season. ■ '

At the Dixon-street outdoor service in the evening the band is to play the " Garland of Flowers" as a tribute to the late Sir Ernest Shackleton.

The new endeavour at Island' Bay is attracting considerable attention, and a fine audience gathered on Sunday evening last. The Field Secretary of the Salvation Army, Brigadier Toomer, will speak at Island Bay at each of the services to-morrow, and is to be supported by the newly-formed Cadets' Band. Commissioner Hodder has decided on the erection of a new hall at Miramar, and already the builders have this project in hand, and it is hoped that in tho oourse of a few weeks a building suitable to the needs of the district will be in evidence.

The Salvation Army has at present one of its missionary officers in Welling-' ton, fresh from its Indian mission field, ln the person of Adjutant Maslin.
