SHORTT'S THEATRE.
_ " Tho Girl' of the Sea," featuring Betty Hilburn, was screened for the first time at Shortt's Theatre yesterday. The story is : laid in the West Indies. Stephen Verrill, a naturalist, secures valuable gold lands in Aguan Valley. He <jies, leaving the deed to the property with his wife and little girl. His .last wish is that his wife meet Captain Rose. Mrs. Verrill sails on/Captain Rose's ship, but the vessel is wrecked and the child is washed ashore,on a deserted island. Enter the villains and much excitement. Another' attraction is "There are no Villains," a comedy-drama featuring Viola Dana. ,
