EMPRESS THEATRE.
Elsie Ferguson, co-starred with Eeginald Denny and Marc M'Dermott, shows1 herself a finished actress in " Footlights," a Paramount feature, now showing at the Empress Theatre. She is first seen as a simple country girl, with aspirations to stage fame. A theatrical patron likes her -vaudeville turn, and transforms plain Lizzie Parsons into exotic Madame Parsinova, a Russian actress. The Harold Lloyd comedy, "Now or Never," is hilariously funny. Mr. H. G. Avery'a orchestra accompanies the screening of the new programme with tuneful selections.
